A bit of this, a bit of that!

Thoughts and stuff as it comes into my head!

James Bond

DANIEL CRAIG opens as the new James Bond to very good reviews that have been unexpected by some onlookers. It seems (and I’ve yet to see the film but will this weekend) that he has an ‘edge’ to him that has been missing for some time.

I’ve been a Bond fan for longer than I can remember, in fact I did my dissertation for my degree on ‘The James Bond novels of Ian Fleming and their role in British pulp fiction’.

  1. Sean Connery, I think. I haven’t seen many of the Bond films, but I do like his portrayal (or maybe it’s the accent!)

  2. Sean Connery is 007. The other ones try their best with different degrees of success. Michele sent me, nice to see your new home :)

  3. I haven’t seen a lot of the films either, but my husband loves them. We agree that Sean Connery is the man…but I like him because he is charisma wrapped in a human being. I doubt that is the reason my husband likes him! :)

    Michele sent me!

  4. I’m such a Sean Connery fan that he wins anything for which he is in the running . Here from Michele.

  5. I want to like him… I do…. and maybe I’ll feel differently after I see the film. But right now I find him SO unattractive! I can’t imagine him being believable in love scenes. We”ll see!!

Here via michele… sorry for the delay!

  6. I probably won’t be going. I’m with Panthergirl – he’s just not an attractive man, and certainly no Bond.

On a related note, I took CPR from a guy named James Bond on Saturday. He wasn’t hot either.

  7. I have seen all but about 3. My dad was a big Bond fan and I guess I carry on the tradition. Sean Connery is my favorite. But, this new one is really good! I saw it this week. I think Daniel Craig did a great job, the dialog was better more edgy than some of the Roger Moore ones. I think that Timothy Dalton was my least favorite.
